Winemaker's comments:

The Initial aromas of intense asparagus and green pepper are followed by upfront passion fruit and gooseberry on the nose.  The palate is rich and full of the same intense and powerful flavour, beautifully balanced by the tangy acidity which gives length and vibrancy to the succulent tropical sweetness. A lip smacking wine with a long, juicy finish.

Winemaker's comments:

Complex nose with apricot and nectarine brushed by a dusty gravel element and just a hint of floral perfume. In the mouth, it is lively and tangy with a bright, acidic, lemon zip which then makes way for the rounder, riper melon-, peach-, kiwi fruit, and apricot flavours. Fresh and lively but with lovely texture and mouthfeel. Good integration of oak. Complex with a hint of creamy spice on the tail which lingers long.

Winemaker's comments:

This wine displays aromatics of Fynbos with herbaceous whiffs, extending to plum and dark fruit characteristics on the nose. Hints of lavender presents interesting floral notes. This wine is a bold, structured and powerful wine yet simultaneously refined. Supple oak tannin provides a frame for the plum fruit flavour and complements the light, peppery spice lift. The palate is savoury and appealing with a velvety texture from the well-judged seamless oak integration. It is layered and complex with a long defined finish.

Specifications:

N/A alc vol Sugar g/l: N/A
Type: Red Wine Maturation Potential: 10 yrs+
Origin: Elandskloof - Overberg Appellation: Elandskloof

Winemaker's comments:

Shy notes of forest floor, autumn leaves and mushroom with red berry fruit whiffs and some spice. The palate is deceptively light-bodied and soft on entry - with reticient bright red berry flavours. Then the wine reveals its firm core of dark, nuanced brambles and blackcurrant with smoky oak flavours. Pronounced but gentle grip of tannin from oak which is well integrated. Ephemeral, elegant and lithe with a long, refined tail.

Winemaker's comments:

Beautiful perfume of violets with hints of walnut and a salty liquorice undertone.  A touch of white pepper ads an enticing dimensions of spice. Clear minerality on the pallet fades into plush and elegant tannins. The palate is prominent with red fruit and bright raspberries, underpinned by light notes of French oak.
